My local (monopoly) telco ("Aliant Communications") switched us from an
old pair of PRI's that worked fine, to a new pair that slow everyone
down a LOT.
56K users are especially hard hit, going from mid 40's to low 30's on
connect speeds. Many boxes give up before retraining to a low enough
speed, and those customers can't connect at all without a special init
string.
My question is: what would cause a PRI (or two) to do this?
I wish I were more of a digital line expert, so I could just tell the
telco what to fix... :/
ANY HELP or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, of course!
Thanks!
