I don't expect V.110 to day anytime soon. In fact, I expect its usage to
increase, as more and more people buy laptops and GSM phones and want to
start accessing the internet with this setup. It really is a difference,
when you do an analog connection over a GSM phone (it takes about 1 minute
to establish) and compare that to a V.110 connection (takes a couple of
seconds to establish).

When the price for a call from a mobile GSM phone is almost 30 times as
much as the price of a normal phone call over here, you really need to
shorten the online time as much as possible :)
