I just wanted to take some time out to thanx all the brave souls who
helped me through this problem last night and in the wee hours of the
morning. The CT1 came back up at 2am. I am not sure exactly what
happened, or why it now works but here is what I did. I turned the
Portmaster off and smoked a cig, then turned it back on and the TLOS
light(red) went out on the Smart Jack indicating it was working. I
called the Tech at Ameritech and they reset the switch again, put in a
loop and it was up. He pulled the loop out, and bingo it was back up and
running fine again. The only thing I can gather is either something was
fixed on the Telco side, or the Portmaster did indeed fail, and turning
it off and then on jolted something in the CSU. I am really afraid to
ask why on this one, so I will leave it as it works.

time.
