I am assuming he sent the codes to the Pm3 for the setup for that particular
port. Normally you would set the framing, encoding and then send all zeros
and then all ones from the T-bird and see if the PM3 holds it up or drops off or
does nothing. If it drops off or does nothing then the CSU in the PM3 is bad. I
had one that would drop off and after using a T-bird this was evident. I got that
unit swapped out and had the rep come on over with T-bird on the new unit and
it didn't drop off on the new test.
