(PM) Settings for a USR 56K to a PM3?

Is there anyone or anywhere one has some recommended
settungs for a

U.S. Robotics 56K FAX EXT V4.7.31

as callers using these modems only connect up to a
PM3 here, ver 3.18.b13, at about 32Kbps. 3Comm tech
support, I'm told, refers them all back to me, claiming
it's the ISP's fault, etc... . :-)

V4.7.31 is supposedly the latest flash rev, I believe.
