Hi all,

Our company uses Portmaster 3's with k56flex modems. We recently decided
to try upgrading to ComOS 3.8b15 to get v.90 compatability. However, after
the upgrade, we experience several problems, such as degradation of connect
speed and disconnects. One problem in particular I would like comments on:

One of our customers has a US Robotics Sportster x2 internal voice modem,
running under Windows 95. He has flash upgraded it to the latest firmware,
which is supposed to comply with the v.90 standard. However, when he uses
it to connect to our PortMasters which were upgraded to ComOS 3.8b15, he
gets disconnected after about 5 minutes of being online. He has an older
14.4 modem, which he can use to connect just fine, but his x2->v.90 flash
upgraded modem gets disconnected.

Any suggestions for a solution? Cc: email to the list and to my personal
address, Peter.Wood@axom.com.

Thanks,

Peter
