well, if the modems are from the same batch they may be 'dying'. You may
also want to check the air clearance and cooling... keeping them 'cool'
may eliminate some problems.

Well, depends on your definition of educated... there are those who love
reliability and will not hesistate to spend money to get couriers which
are a lot sturdier. However, in this instance maybe it wasn't quite well
taken seeing as it's a jibe at having 'sputsters' in service.

Is everything A/C'd?

Can you switch out modems like a batch of 10 from one site to the other
and see if things change?

Are there any sources of electrical influence nearby?

How is the weather? (not joking...)
