I also have a slew of the USR chassis, and I'll have to agree that the
Pormasters do a lot nicer job from an administrative standpoint. I can do
everything I need from a telnet session from anywhere in the world, but
with the USRs I have to run totalcontrol manager - this would be the only
reason I have Windows on this PC - they don't make TCM for BSD, and it's
necessary for operations.

I can get a PM3 in the mail, take it out of the box, configure it, install
it and have customers on it within an hour of it arriving at my office.
I've never had a TotalControl rack fully functional in less than three
days - and I *do* know what I'm doing. (this is, of course, providing
that I've got the lines installed, but it includes the time I spend
talking to the telco switch having them turned up)

ok. that's all for now. We'll prob'ly be selling all of the USRs so that
we can buy portmasters, at least that's what I'm trying to sell the boss,
and it's going well so far because he's watching our connections stats.
;-)
