Re: (PM) Semi-Off Topic: UPS Considerations

What I'm concerned about here is that our 700, which when put in place did
not appear to be overloaded (4 of 5 of the load LEDs were lit), soon blew
its battery. While working late, I noticed that at about 2:50am each day,
the alarm sounds. When I look at the UPS, its battery is discharged. None
of the error LEDs are lit. After a few weeks, the battery LED lit
indicating a failed battery. I think the alarm was caused by the building
lights going on and off (happens same time each day). I turned down the
sensitivity but that didn't help, either. The power in this building
stinks, but until we got the Smart-UPS 700, we were not aware of the
weirdness, as our BACK-UPS do not trip off.
