I have an AMI/ESF data line (not CT1) to one POP. When I got it, the
telco said they would have B8ZS "in a few months". That was a year
and a half ago, so for the CT1 I'm putting in I expected to get B8ZS.
I've just been informed the tandem still doesn't support B8ZS. Since
I know they can do AMI/ESF, I'm wondering if there is any reason to
try to get AMI/ESF instead of AMI/SF (AMI/D4).
Since using ESF with AMI is unusual and 56k is already so dependent on
details of line provisioning, I'm hesitant to be the first/only
person to try an unusual provisioning, at least at this particular
distant POP.
