When we had bursts of these (~3000 E-bit errors at a time) it would hang up
all our dialins. We logged a fault call with the supplier of the PRI's.
They put the equipment on test and when we reported it a second time they
had all the logs to chase it up. We have had no further problems with
this.
The only other thing that changed was the upgrade to 3.7.2c3 - if you have
not done so already, I'd advise upgrading to this as it fixed almost all
of the modem compatability issues we were having.
