This is a message I sent privately to someone last week. It's worded
a bit more strongly that is probably safe for the list, but I'm not
going to bother editing it, except for fixing one typo I just found.

I'm saying this in private so as not to raise a firestorm on the
mailing list. Feel free to quote parts of it back to the list (with
this caveat intact) if you wish. :-)
I was extremely disappointed with the Livingston DLC's follow-through.
Technically, they asked all the right questions and handled the order
placement (from my perspective), no problem. Then I never heard from
them again.
I finally got a call from our newly-found GTE rep in Florida
(apparently the two PRIs turned us into an ISP-size account in their
eyes...I don't know why we weren't before) asking some questions about
the DLC's role, and from there I started talking to GTE directly. It
was about a month later--about three days before the installation
date, in fact--that I got a call from the DLC wondering if I had ever
faxed back the order confirmation sheet. I had, of course, returned
it about six weeks earlier, about 5 minutes after I received it.
I told the DLC to piss off and consider themselves not involved
anymore.
*However*, if you want to talk to someone technical, talk to Rich
Vorie @ 714-477-6712. He (and I want to say there was a Dave Ericson,
too, but I don't see it written down anywhere--he might be with a
different company :) was the most clued-up person I talked to and very
helpful.
And avoid Frank McDermott like the black death. He was our "account
rep", but didn't know sh*t and never returned my phone calls.
