Sad but true, we are having the same problem, same message, when we
changed to use PM3 and only way to solve it that i have found out is to
take away 'TCP/IP' from the win95 box and reinstall it again and make a
new dialer.
If you only reinstall 'TCP/IP' it negotiates about to use PAP (it just
sends the same thing every time) about ten times and then move on to
negotiate the other things and then get a 'Connection succeeded', it
works but takes long time.
If you make a new dialer exactly like the one before, it works like a
charm. I donno probably one of the fancy win95 features ;)
