Once upon a time Darrell shaped the electrons to say...
>I keep having this problem on my PM3 not answer correctly. It might pick
>up sometimes and then others it won't even answer the phone. I have a PRI
>and am using the PM3. It seems to be the same modem everytime. I reset it

First, make sure you are running ComOS 3.7.2 and nothing earlier.

If it seems to be the same modem, try swapping that card with the last
card in your chassis. If it follows the card it may be a bad DSP. If
it stays with the modem number then it is probably a PRI issue with the
telco - a bad DS0, broken hunt, etc.

>again. I haven't ever had this problem before, I am not sure if it is a
>bad chip or what...Is there anyway of telling if a chip on the card is
>bad?

If would be surprising to have a bad chip that the self-tests the unit
does didn't catch and take out of service.
