Also, they are SoL with the Mercury. That's a 19.2 modem. Take a hammer
to it. One of the most finicky modems I've ever seen.
Coincidentally, I had a problem with some GV's recently. After literally
weeks of trying to track it down, I went out there and took a look at his
settings. He had our phone number in with a period (ie 555.1234). Took
out the period, worked like a charm.
