Anyway, does anyone have a good method for collecting or observing the
modem connect speeds on the PM-25's? I can do a show all and get my port
speed (which is fixed, so nothing news there), and I can attach to a port
after a user hangs up and issue at&v8 to get info directly from the modem
itself, but I haven't been able to figure out a way to observe modem
connect speeds on the fly. I've found this feature in the PM-3's(using the
sh mod command) to be invaluable in troubleshooting user problems, and
especially reassuring when you see new users connect at decent speeds. So I
guess I would just like to know if it's possible to gather DCE connect
speeds from the PM-25, or does the nature of the rack modems and PM-25's
just make this impossible.
Also, does anybody have an init string they are using with their Hayes
Century 2 racks flash-updated to 33.6 that they're real happy about? I
searched the list archives, and the issue seemed rather unresolved from
what I found, and all the notes related to the 28.8 flash code.
And finally, if anyone has had any luck fiddling with the serial enabled
SNMP on the Hayes racks, drop me some mail off list if you have any tips,
as I haven't been very successful in my meager attempts at getting it to
cooperate, and it ain't the kind of thing you can just look up on dejanews,
if you know what I mean. ;)
Thanks!
