Our solution was to make sure our customers turned everything off in
the Advanced Options section of DUN in win95 (except tcp/ip). Users
now authenticate in a few seconds and that's using /etc/passwd under
linux. It also seemed to help reduce the number of calls we got about
'could not negotiate compatible protocols'.
