Re: (PM) RADIUS username length?

My users can specify up to 16 characters for their login and password, I
have setup an append querry in my Access database that directly inserts the
default-user info, username and password into the RadiusNT .mdb file. We do
not use the text files at all. It is as simple as clicking a button to add
a user and does not require me to interact with the Radius servers at all.

OK, thx for these infos, but - hell - I am NOT willing to use system
password databases (NEITHER /UNIX NOR /WINNT). I am using the users
textfile in RADIUS itself... THERE (YES) there is written its limited
to 8 characters and this is definately too short!!! So, again, when
using RADIUS (the NT-ported version) with its own local
user"database" - How many characters can I use???
I read the several manuals and got..... several (different)
answers.... :-(
SO NOW ITS UP TO YOU - MZ please clarify!!!

P.S. Thx again to Josh Richards and Norris Sidnor for trying to help
me out of this. Unfortunately these answers did not exactly fit it.
