(PM) Need authentication help.

I'm having trouble getting my PM-3 to authenticate users using radius.
The PM-3 is running 2.7.2, and radius is 2.0.1 running on Linux with a
2.0.30 kernel. When a user who is not in the PM-3's usertable logs in,
the PM-3 queries the radius server. The radius server sends back a
response. The PM-3 sees the response (I know this because I ptrace and
see the response coming through). Then, the PM-3 resends the query. It
is dropped (as a duplicate) the second time. The PM-3 then resends
again with the same results as the first time. The linux box is setup
with multiple ip addresses assigned to the one ethernet interface. I've
seen that this can be a problem, but the ptrace shows that the PM-3 is
receiving a response from the correct IP. The really odd part is that
another ISP in the area setup a temp account for me that would let me
dial in to his equipment and authenticate through my radius server. It
worked the first time through his Ascend equipment.
Anyone got any ideas?
