Once upon a time Scott Lagos shaped the electrons to say...
>We can do an attach s0 and dial an ISDN number at one of our other POPs and
>we get authenticated.
>We can do an attach s0 and call back into the same box and get authenticated.

What about dialing out with a modem? &N0 in the dial string uses a modem.

AT&N0DTxxxxxxx

Can you make an outbound modem call?

>When we call into the POP with a standard phone or modem, we get dead air,
>nothing...not k56Flex tone, etc.

We're working on a dead air issue currently, but normally it is sporadic.
I don't know that it'd be the same thing if you are getting it constantly.

How do the modems look, are they all 'ready'?

>Although this has not mattered in the past, we only have 1 8 Modem card in
>this unit.

You should be able to take 8 modem calls.
