While on the topic of retrains, I had a customer the other day whose modem
was constantly retraining. It would establish a connection, then it would
retrain, come back alive for 5 secs, repeat. The modem was manufactured
by ASK (model name unknown), however the customer had 2 of the modems, in
2 different computers. One functioned perfectly, the other with this
problem. I suspect that particular modem may be at fault. However, I am
curious to know if there are any known fixes for such a problem.
