4mb, which is what it ships with.

Then you start running low and eventually crash it :)

Remember though - the ONLY reason you would need more than 4mb of ram is
if you have huge routing tables (such as when using BGP4).

Even a PM3 with two T1/E1/PRI's coming into it and 60 modems in it with a
STAC compression card will run fine on 4mb.

There is one 72-pin SIMM slot in the PM3 motherboard. It accepts 72-pin
non-parity 60ns RAM.
