Joe already commented on this. What Mike did is unquestionably spam.
Spam is Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) and/or Unsolicited Bulk Email
(UBE) - this was both from what I've seen.
Livingston does not endorse spam. We've never had an official policy
written, that I am aware of, but I will write something now to try and
avoid this in the future. I think there was just some confusion over
what exactly constitutes spam. People know, internally, that they should
not spam - but I think some people don't know what that is. That is
a shortcoming on our part.
