I take it from the yes, that you are doing this presently. This has been
a concern of mine, since the first reports from the field started coming
in about the new modems. My biggest concern, wasn't about having both
types of modems in a chassis, but the fact that there were workarounds for
the K56Flex modem and different workarounds for the v.34 modems. My
biggest fear is, since we are down the list, it was reported that the
first 400 would get a full complement of modems, and after that they would
ship a full chassis' worth to the remaining and then start over and finish
everybody up. That leaves us with the potential of running both types for
a while.
So, if the workarounds for the new cards don't work with the old cards,
we are going to big in a world of sh*t. Personally I would rather get all
the cards at once, especially if it can cause this type of problem.
