I think it would be much more helpful to both other users and to Livingston
if we would report the specifics about the particular modems that are
having problems, -and- those that are working ok. Especially the -exact-
model number, the ROM/Flash version, modem AT/setup options, and any other
relevant information that might help isolate the problem area.
I think it's pretty clear that there -is- a problem, very likely starting
in b20, and it also seems equally clear that some USRs are working, and
others are not. Now we need to help Livingston find the differences between
those that work, and those that fail, and recording this type of information
is a good start in that direction.
[And some official word from Livingston on the matter would be good too,
even if it's a simple acknowledgement that there is a problem that you
are trying to locate.]
