Justification for charging more for 56k. I don't know about elsewhere, but in US West territory, you pay $20/line/mo more for trunk side termination on a CT1. Since US West does not offer ISDN service in our area (anywhere outside of Phx and Tucson in Arizona) we've had no need to pay the additional costs. Now we will need to pay them for 56k. therefore, IMHO, a small surcharge, say $5/mo or so, is very justifiable. I admitt, that for ISP's that already offer ISDN, this is probably going to alienate customers. But I think we can jsutify it to our customers with a little explanation. Most customers can understand that if it costs more to provide, they're going to have to pay more for it.
