Being 5 floors away from the equipment (Motorola UTA220k and Firewall
IRX211) I only today found out that two of them are not talking to each
other. Very confusing. I used v.35 adapter for a cable (both units are
set for the same v.35 protocol) and synchronous connection. However,
trying to dial from PMconsole didn't move Motorola at all. It just
stood silent. On the other hand, manual dialing from Motorola itself
works and I'm able to get V.120 connection at 48kbps (to UUnet's site).
However, even that works only from port 2 and, when I try from port 1,
UTA220 reports ERROR immediately. I killed 20 hours by now trying to
make this work.
If there's anybody out there knowing how can I lessen this frustration,
I'll be here to listen.
