PM2E & analogue leased lines

I've a customer averaging 13 hours per day *every day* (IRC addict
apparently) and I'd like to help them cut on their phone bill (running
at 500 UKP per month) and take some of the Telco cash for myself ;)

I was investigating a USR-Courier<-->USR-Courier (dip switch 8) leased
line operation mode and was wondering if I plugged the modem on our end
into our PM2E; would it work as a PPP leased line?

I guess I would set the modem on our end in dumb mode and their smart mode
so rebooting (their computer) would reset the line.

Any advice from anyone who has already done this? If their a better piece
of kit out there to manage it.

Thanks.

Paul Gregg
