DNS failure with Windows 3.11 IEDIAL and PM-3A-2E

For some reason we are getting problems with DNS lookups when users dial up
using Internet Explorer with the bundled IEDIAL and connectoid. This only
happens when they dial our PM-3 (they work with our PM-2) and only with the
above combination on the PC. We can avoid the problem by using Trumpet dialer
instead of the IEDIAL. No such problem seems to exist with our Windows 95 or
Macintosh clients.
Someone mentioned a problem with the DNS server having multiple IP addresses
but a ptrace on the PM-3 shows a valid reply (correct IP address and port #
on both sides) to the DNS query ...
Any ideas, please ?
