ITU and the future k56 standard

Hi all.
This is somewhat off-post, and I apologise in advance. But I know
they're some very knowledgeable people on this list, so I figured i'd
still give it a shot.
My marketing manager asked me today if we should go get 1 U$R Totally
Out-Of Control hub to support our X2 clients (we have on average 3 calls a
day from our users asking us about X2, and about 1 a week on K56flex :( )
Seeing as how I don't need a frying pan, I need to be able to convince him
why not to go for that (besides the technical reasons; he's a marketing
person after all). It would help if I could get a feel of the
standardisation process and progress. I've tried www.k56flex.com
www.usr.com/x2 and www.itu.int, but didn't find anything on it (or maybe
I'm not looking hard enough?). Any ideas?
Thanks
Leonard.
