Totally? No.

Do it anyway. All of the SSL browsers only except certificates from a
known agency. Users would have to muck about adding you as an agency,
and MSIE will yell about how you aren't a key agency, etc.

Also, frankly, I would't trust you if I were a user. *I* don't know you.
You aren't a rated key agency. The entire concept of keys is trust, and
if someone makes their own key, I'm not going to trust them.
