What ComOS are you running? Versions prior to 3.5.1b20 (the one you
should now be running) didn't work right with 56k modems and you had to
disable K56flex and force V.34 to get the modems to connect. 56k modems
connect fine to 3.5.1b20 without disabling 56k.
