There are a few programs out there that will allow you to associate a COM
port on your PC with an IP address and socket number. And you can
configure a port on your portmaster to be:

set s1 device /dev/network
set s1 service_device 6000

The using one of these programs you can confiugre it to go to
ipof.the.port.master 6000
