Hah! When I did jury duty last year there were strict instructions on pain
of a comtempt citation against pagers, cell phones, laptops, etc. First
time in two years I had been without all of the above. Wierd feeling.
Thank God for the phone in the jury room that they gave free, unrestricted
access to, including toll calls.

I considered getting a button that said "I support the death penalty for
parking violations" but settled for telling them about the new employee
who had just started the day before who had been instructed to sit on his
hands until I got back (truth).

I get nervous when deprived of all my personal electronic communication
