Thanks very much to everyone for the suggestions
on IN.PMD. I'll try the netpipes and nettty options
and see what I can get out of them.

One person raised the point that Class 2 fax programs
need direct access to DTR and DSR, so I don't know if
it's possible to escape those signals over a pipe.

Anyway, nothing ventured, nothing gained because I'm
*very* interested in using the PortMaster for more
than just dialup ISP service.

The whole field of fax and voice service I feel is an
untapped business area for ISP's, and if it can be
done with the hardware that everyone already uses,
then that makes things simpler, cheaper, and more
profitable.

If anyone on the list has done this and implemented
a PortMaster as a fax server, I'd really appreciate
some pointers on how to do it. If not, then I guess
I'm the pioneer, and if I'm successful I'll post the
details.
