I have a problem with some customers who use Windows NT4 and Motorola
Bitsurfer Pros to log into our PM2. The Username and password
authentication is very quick, but the NT box then tries to "Register"
itself!? This delays the login process by about 10 to 20 seconds via ISDN,
which they are understandably unhappy about. Now, I've checked the RAS
configuration on their machines, and they *only* have TCP/IP ticked on
dialup networking. I have also debugged the LCP data on the Portmaster and
I am seeing the following output eight times! :
Sending LCP_PROTOCOL_REJECT to port S21 of 16 bytes containing:
08 ba 00 10 80 fd 01 04 00 0a 12 06 00 00 00 01
Now, this also appears to be sent to Windows95 clients as well, but only
once.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what is going wrong, and a possible cure?
