Hi Livingston Users group -=20

I have a Portmaster 2e with built in 5 card ISDN rack which has two dual =
channel Centrex ISDN lines to my ISP. The problem is that my connection =
gets intermittently terminated. The longest period of time it has been =
up is 20 hrs. It usually is only 2 or so. Connections will terminate and =
a no-service condition will show that the lines are inactive. I have =
been working with my ISP to find out what the problem is. And through a =
week of troubleshooting the connection, have narrowed it down to one of =
two causes.=20

Here is what we did:=20

Eliminated the ISP's equipment as the problem - these lines are =
connecting to Ascend Pipeline 50 ISDN routers. We switched and dialed =
alternate centrex ISDN numbers connecting to two Ascend 50's that were =
the lines of another customer. This alternate connection which was =
functioning fine began to terminate intermittently. Meanwhile he dialed =
into our Ascends and connected and stayed on without any interruption =
for fifty hours. This testing eliminates the providers equipment and the =
half of the ISDN centrex connection that extends from the c.o. to the =
ISP's boxes.=20

This just started happening about 4 weeks ago now after a server crash. =
Any ideas?=20
