To my surprise, I've seen full 33.6k, 31.2k and usually 28.8k and 26.4k
connections to our PM3 through our trunk-side CT1's from US West in the
rural community of Gallup, NM.

That could be interpreted as it does support 33.6k modems but not at
33.6k. :) Might as well not worry about it since the Lucent cards will
offically support it when they come out RSN.
