PM3-GTE-PRI Problem

Hey gang,

I've had an open ticket with Livingston and GTE (Texas) and after 3 weeks
we are no closer to having it fixed. Here's my problem.

I have a PM3 with an incoming PRI from GTE connecting to threir switch
running NI-2. Here in town PRI's come off one switch and BRI's come off
another switch (DMS-100). Basically the PM3 works fine for analog calls
but we have yet to connect a digital (isdn) call to this day (after 5
weeks).

After much finger pointing back and forth Livingston has proven (I think)
that the problem is NOT in the PRI or the PM3. They proved this by
dialout out of the PM3 over the PRI then back into itself. A PAP auth
request occured as a result of that call. When a local BRI call comes in
to the PM3 we indicate "connect" but no data is passed therefore no PAP
Auth Request. Under ISDN debug basically we get a trace of" incoming
64k/data" then a disconnect after 10-20 seconds.

When Livingston support called in from Calf via ISDN we show on the PM3
ISDN debug "incoming 64k/voice" but still no data packets. The problem
seems to be in the NI-2 switch/software/config. Since calls from outside
the CO to the PRI never hit the BRI (DMS-100) switch. I kinda think that
no "B" channel data is being passed ACROSS the switch. I am pretty well
convinced that the problem is with GTE....I can't seem to get it
escalated to the right group. What am I left to do? I need help!

Greg
