Channelized T-1 Provisioning

We are setting up our first Channelized T-1 POP with PM3. Bell Atlantic
configured it as ground start, two way trunk, FXS. We were able to dial in
and establish a connection with these settings. Livingston documentation
says loop start (not ground start) only for FXS. When we inquired Bell
Atlantic on this matter they said ground start provides for outgoing calls
on CT-1 and should not effect incoming calls. I assume Livingston says
'loop start only' because the PM3 does not have the capability for dial-out,
not that the PM3 is not compatible with ground start. Are there any
unwanted side effects of running with ground start?

The other matter of concern is whether FXS will be adequate for 56K calls.
Livingston recommends E&M Wink Start (DID?) in their T-1 provisioning guide.
Does FXS limit the performance of dialing connections?

We have many PM3s running flawlessly on PRIs. As with others I think we are
stuck on some of the terminology of these CT-1s that varies from telco to
telco. Any light shed on this subject would be appreciated.
