OSPF config questions

Hello.

First please note that I get the digest, so if anyone has any ideas, please
CC: me so I can respond ASAP. Thanks.

I started working with OSPF on ComOS 3.5 yesterday after reading everything
I could get my hands on about it. I have serveral PM2s and a Cisco 2501.

My question:

It seems that my PMs aren't picking up their neighbors properly thru my
Ethernet switch.

Two PMs and a Cisco are on one port of the switch on their own segment.
Other PMs are "separate" and are attached to other ports of the switch.

Apparently, the PMs and Cisco all on the same segment pick up each other ok
and set Cisco as DR and "pm5" as BDR. However the "separate" PMs *only*
see "pm5" and set IT up as DR and themselves as BDR. Does this indicate
that the "separate" PMs think they are on another network or area?

An ethernet switch should be transparent to OSPF, right!?

Tcpdump on the segment with the Cisco and 2 PMs sees multicast broadcasts
from ALL the PMs just fine.

Also, somewhere along the line of hundreds of config changes, my Cisco has
started to have huge delays for commands like "sh ip ospf neighbor" -
several minutes to finish. It wasn't doing this when I started - the
output was immediate. I can't find anything I changed to cause that delay.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Derric
