I'm looking at putting in a MOD-10I-ST in a PM2ER for ISDN support and
have a few questions --

- Does this module require an ISDN modem (eg. Bitsurfers) or does it have
the NT1 type interface built into it and doesn't need one?

The ST in the part number indicates that it does not have built-in NT1s
and thus you will need to supply external NT1's in order to set it up.

The ST models usually are used when users have already NT1s installed,
usually on a PBX, or in Europe/Japan/Singapore where the telco installs
them with each ISDN line ordered.

- If one is required, is there one of choice by those that use this
module? or recommended by Livingston?

Motorola NT1's are quite popular. You need 5 of them, one for each BRI.
It may be a better idea to exchange your MOD-10I-ST versus a MOD-10I-U.

I checked out the info on the homepage, but couldn't find anything that
answered this question...
