has anyone fumbled through setting up a farralon netopia isdn router
dialing into a 5bri card?

ive tried just about everything and am hitting a wall and am looking for
suggestions.

the netopia is supposed to handle subnetting yet we could not get it to
function with a .224 netmask. i have many others configured that way.

so, just for "testing", i followed the instructions they have at

www.farralon.com/product/netopia/technotes/NIR_013.html

and setup a full class c to route to this client just as their technote
described. the farralon may only be able to handle rip with his firmware
even though they may have new firmward code out.

no luck... im sure it is something simple yet i havent found it yet....

do i need to add a static route in the pm? for some reason i am under the
impression that i send the class c from my cisco to the ethernet port on
the pm2e he is dialing into with 1 b channel to start.

or should i route the class c to the ip he dials in on?

if i send him the class c

my pm2e

address xxx.yyy.zzz.13
netmask 255.255.255.0

his info for dialup

address aaa.bbb.ccc.1
netmask 255.255.255.0

i am sending his network to the xxx.yyy.zzz.13 address on the pm2e

help or ideas or a fundamentals check would be most appreciated.

thank you!
