Re: Win95 DNS problem on new PC

We had this - only on the newest Packard Bells. After talking to Packard
Bell Support, this fixes it:
In \windows\win.ini
change: run=c:\fmedia\fmedia.exe
to: run=
and reboot.
apparently the phone/fax program messes it up. For the life of me I can't
figure how it would ONLY mess up DNS... but hey, when it works, I don't
have time to ask too many questions.

(That would also explain why the Win95 reload the other guy recommended
would work :)
