I am not sure were to start modem, livingston, software, so I will start here

I have users using procomm and other terminal software to connect to our
system via a portmaster. In the PINE mail package they want to print via
ascii (aux terminal) but do not see any output. The message scrolls
across the screen but nothing comes out.

I believe this is because of the hardware flow control.

Is there a way to set a port as both xon/xoff for dial up and harware for
ppp?

As I understand it ppp only works with hardware flow.

Could the "problem" be the softwrare and not hardware?

Am I even on the right track?

any Ideas?
