changing the /etc/syslog.conf

I want to change the syslog.conf so that it logs all the messages from
the portmaster into the following file: /var/adm/pm.log

I'm running Linux 1.2.5 on one machine and Irix on another one (I imagine
the syslog.conf would work on both) .. I need some help on what line I
should add so that I can acomplish the job....
