Dest 0.0.0.0 bug - more info

We're still experiencing the dest 0.0.0.0 bug, and I found something
odd today. Our first portmaster is the one mostly having this
problem, and I just called in to check WHILE it was having this
problem.

(note the first three octets in these examples are bogus, but
the last number is absolutely representative)

The account 'placeum' is a dynamic PPP account, and is -exactly-
like any other dynamic account we have. This is only an example,
and the problem isn't related to this individual account:

Username: placeum
Password:
PPP session from (198.32.116.2) to 198.32.116.41 beginning..

Now.. notice this crazy thing trying to assign 198.32.116.41
to this user? This portmaster's "set assigned" address is
198.32.116.11. It should never go past 40! What is the deal?
We're running ComOS 3.1.4. Also, our second portmaster's
"set assigned" address is 198.30.116.41.

I really need this fixed guys :(

If someone wants to email me back or call me directly, I'll work
with them immediately before I go and reboot this. Maybe there
are some things you can look at to give us some more insight.
