PPP lock-ups?

Hi. We've been having a little trouble with our PPP connections (and SLIP
for that matter). It seems that users are experiencing frequent lock-ups.
While we are not sure what is happening, we know that it only happens on
PPP/SLIP connections; rlogin's seem to be fine for hours on end. This
leads us to believe its a configuration problem, instead of a hardware
problem. Just to be on the safe side, I took a look at our PPP/SLIP user
setup, and wanted to double check against some other people using PM2e's
(30 ports, FYI).

Default PPP user :

Pusername Password = "password"
User-Service-Type = Framed-User,
Framed-Protocol = PPP,
Framed-Address = 255.255.255.254,
Framed-Routing = None,
Framed-MTU = 1500,
Framed-Netmask = 255.255.255.255

The Framed-Address and Framed-Netmask lines worry me the most. I believe
we've taken them from the radius section in the PM manual, but I'm not
sure they are correct.

Anyhow, if the above looks alright, what could be causing frequent, yet
unpredictable session lock-ups? When I say lock-up, the users end is
unable to connect to *anything*, while it does send out packets (external
modem users tell me so). I don't get a ping response from the IP the user
is on once this happens.

On a *maybe* related note, some people con't access our own home page,
but *everything* else (other net sites, email, news, etc, etc) works
fine. Just our home pages. Weird, or a clue?

Thanks for any help,
