Lucent RADIUS (TM) Dial-In (Analog) Multilink PPP Quick Setup Guide

VERSION: The Lucent PortMaster (TM) 3 must be running Lucent ComOS 3.8 or later. Any Version of RADIUS is permitted.

Description: This technote provides information for setting up a PortMaster 3 to use a RADIUS authentication server for analog Multilink PPP support. 

Your implementation of RADIUS or other factors might cause the details 
to vary. Consult the documentation that came with your RADIUS server 
or the vendor's technical support staff for additional information.

This RADIUS user profile contains all the RADIUS attributes necessary for
configuring a dial-in Multilink PPP user. RADIUS user profiles are located 
in the users file.

These attributes do the following:

Password - Identifies the account password.
Service-Type - Shows that this is network user.
Port-Limit - Sets the maximum number of port that can be connected. 
Framed-Protocol - Configures Point To Point Protocol (PPP) for this account.
Framed-IP-Address - 255.255.255.254 specifies the use of an address
    from the assigned pool on the PortMaster 3 for the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the 
    dial-in client.
Framed-Routing - Configures Routing Information Protocol (RIP).  None = OFF!!!
Framed-MTU - Sets the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) size of the PPP session.
Framed-Compression - Configures the session to use the IP header compression.
