(PM) Motorola Modem Surfer no longer connects

Hi all
I have a customer with a mot modem surfer 56K int. that as of yesterday
cannot connect. i tried the inits to force a kflex, a v.90 and v.34 and
it dials in and disconnects within about 10 secs. they are running
v2.083-k56 DLP we are running Lucent PortMaster PM-3 ComOS 3.9b22 this
problem just started happening. though in the past, sometimes it would
take several attempts to connect..
